This article explains the scope of responsibility that Donhost has towards a root dedicated server.
This article applies to Dedicated Servers.
A root dedicated server is defined as a server for which the account holder has taken unrestricted root or administrator level access, and for which management services have been disabled by either party.
Please note: We will always notify in the unlikely event of disabling any management services on your dedicated server.
For root servers, as a standard part of our service we will endeavour to ensure that the network to which your server is connected, and the hardware components that comprise your server are running at an optimum state.
Any upgrades or security patching of the operating system, or any software aspect of your root dedicated server will not be performed by Donhost, so you should ensure you have alternative arrangements in place.
