What are Donhost's responsibilities towards my managed dedicated server?

This article explains the scope of responsibility that Donhost has towards a managed dedicated server.

This article applies to Dedicated Servers.

A managed dedicated server is defined as a server for which the account holder has taken root or administrator level access, however has not disabled our management services within the Donhost control panel.

For managed servers, as a standard part of our service we apply upgrades and security patches to the software running on your server that has been installed as part of the standard server install. In the event of a serious security vulnerability, this may be done without prior warning in order to ensure the security of your server.

Important: Any software installed by you, or any software installed subsequent to your server purchase by Donhost will not be patched or upgraded unless expressly agreed in writing by Donhost.

At all times we will also endeavour to ensure that the network to which your server is connected, and the hardware components that comprise your server are running at an optimum state.

Important: Please see our Service Level Agreement for a full breakdown of our responsibilities to you.
